In collaboration with Ontario Presents, the International Artist Managers’ Association (IAMA) will be hosting a dynamic satellite conference for classical music promoters, presenters, producers, managers and all others involved in the industry. Running November 10th-12th, IAMA Toronto 2016 will explore the classical music field with an emphasis on our pluralistic and changing societies, the issues surrounding the sustainability and impact of classical music in our communities.
Building on the success of the first satellite conference in Montreal (2013), IAMA is interested in exploring and connecting Canada’s considerable performing talent and industry resources with the larger international community.
IAMA Toronto 2016 offers Canadian artists and managers access to international markets and a unique opportunity to build business relationships with key decision makers and international stakeholders in classical music. The conference’s overarching goal is to elevate the classical music sector’s competitive advantage, by increasing the number of development-oriented relationships, both domestically and internationally.
Music Ontario is sponsoring the round tables session on Friday November 11th.
