GENERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
Mandate: Composed of MusicOntario members, partners, stakeholders, and other Ontario-based industry professionals to inform the organization of trends, opportunities, and concerns throughout various disciplines, sectors, and communities in the independent provincial music sector. Note: As of December 2022, the committee is actively seeking and recruiting additional members to sit as advisors.

Mandate: In 2018, MusicOntario established the PRISM Advisory Committee in order to help direct and shape the organization’s outreach and programming for artists and entrepreneurs who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, with the long-term goal of creating change-making awareness surrounding cultural and institutional barriers that are oppressive to intersecting communities. The committee will strive to address some of these barriers through discussion, consultation, advocating for safer spaces, support, and programming, and will be composed of and driven by artist and industry community leaders. Note: As of December 2022, the committee is actively seeking and recruiting additional members to sit as advisors.

Mandate: In 2017, MusicOntario established its Hip Hop Advisory Committee in order to help direct and shape the organization’s outreach and programming for Ontarians working in Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Soul, Soca, and in the many other branches of those genres, whether as creators or entrepreneurs. This committee aims to support black voices, creators, and music through community-led initiatives. Note: As of December 2022, the committee is actively seeking and recruiting additional members to sit as advisors.

Drawn from respected music industry individuals and organizations, MusicOntario turns to independent industry professionals to help us review submissions for various opportunities and recommend candidates for participation, to ensure we have perspectives from across Ontario's music sector reflected in our programming.
