MusicOntario returns to Hamburg & Berlin, Germany this September for the 2024 edition of the Reeperbahn Festival & Conference.
This year, Canada will take over Uwe (formerly Kukuun) once again for two full days of showcases on Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20 starting midday and going until midnight. We’re excited to announce the Ontario artists who will be showcasing at Canada House this September: ALTERED BY MOM // AMMOYE // AYSANABEE // BLEEKER // CADENCE WEAPON // HOUSEWIFE // SEBASTIAN GASKIN // SPOOKEY RUBEN
On the business side, Canadian companies attending Reeperbahn will have the opportunity to partake in two days of pre-events in Berlin on Monday, Sept 16 and Tuesday, Sept 17. On the Monday, CIMA has partnered with the Embassy of Canada to Germany in Berlin and MMF Canada, to present an afternoon of business events. On Tuesday, Canadian delegates are invited to participate in the Berlin Experience, a full day of business events organized by the Reeperbahn team. In Hamburg, Canadian companies will get the chance to participate in a Meet the Canadians matchmaking session, in conjunction with Reeperbahn, with German industry.
CIMA's Canada House showcase also includes the following presenting partners: Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, M for Montreal, Music BC, MusicOntario/Ontario Creates, Music New Brunswick, Music PEI, Paper Bag Records, SaskMusic and Quebec Creates/SODEC.
MusicOntario is thrilled to be heading back to Germany for our eighth Reeperbahn Festival this September 2024, with our partners at CIMA!
This is a competitive opportunity to access the 4th largest worldwide music market in the world, according to IFPI's 2023 Global Music Report on the state of the industry. Reeperbahn Festival attracts thousands of artists and music industry professionals from across the globe to Hamburg for four days of music, professional development, art, and more. Details: If you are applying for showcases, you will not be charged. If you are accepted the presenter of the showcase will be charged (ie. A provincial host partner of CIMA's). Please note that each artist must have a business representative. Companies interested in participating in just the business portion of this mission (no showcasing artist) will be invoiced once this application is complete.
