It’s been a whirlwind of announcements over the last week or so, and we’ve got another exciting one to share with you!

As MusicOntario grows as a non-profit, developing partnerships with industry will help us succeed in delivering our services that benefit artists and industry alike. To this end, we’re excited to announce our newly established partnership with TicketBreak, a ticketing division of MapleCore.

For years, MapleCore has been a leader in supporting the independent music sector within Canada. MapleMusic.com has long been the eCommerce solution of choice for artists and labels alike, with a wide range of options for artists to connect directly to their fans. Maple is also a founding partner in Open Road Recordings, Fontana North, Pheremone Recordings, and now, TicketBreak.

TicketBreak has already established itself across the province, and Canada, as an effective solution for ticketing at venues and festivals alike. The Dakota Tavern (Toronto), The Empire Theatre (Belleville), and the Kee to Bala (Bala) all use TicketBreak for events in their venues, as have festivals such as the Hillside Festival (Guelph), the Northern Lights Festival Boreal (Sudbury) and the Collingwood Elvis Festival (Colligwood).

A message from Sandy MacNevin, General Manager of TicketBreak:

“MapleCore, its labels, and associated companies have always played a leading role in every aspect of Canadian music. We look forward to our partnership with MusicOntario and the opportunity to further support artists and industry through development and education.”

We welcome TicketBreak to the MusicOntario family, and look forward to sharing info about their products and services. We know they’ve got lots in the works!
